Centrum Wellness Packs For Women Reviewed
In 2021 Centrum started selling Centrum Wellness Packs for Women. They sell 5 different formulations all based on age groups: 20+, 30+, 40+, 50+ and 60+. All of the packs contain 4 pills in each vitamin pack. Below is a comparison chart of the assorted formulas. You will also find some insights and observations about these Centrum Wellness Packs for Women.
One thing in common with all 5 of the Centrum Wellness Packs for Women is that the same basic multivitamin is found in all of the formulations. This basic multivitamin has 1,000 IU of Vitamin D and 90 mg of Vitamin C. Only 3 of the packs contain additional Vitamin D. This is also true of Vitamin C, only 3 of the packs have additional Vitamin C beyond what is already in the basic multivitamin.
You may find it somewhat confusing trying to understand the criteria used to determine why a supplement is found in one age-related formulation and not another. For example, 3 out of the 4 pills in the 20+ pack and 50+ pack are exactly the same, interesting that the formulations are so similar despite being separated by two full age groups.
Another example, the two age groups farthest apart 20+ and 60+ are the only packs with important Omega-3 Fish Oil. Not sure why these key nutrients are missing from the other packs.
A single collagen tablet is found in two of the formulations. However, the dosing is somewhat of a head scratcher. Collagen supplementation often involves taking multiple tablets daily. For example if you look at a bottle of the popular YouTheory Collagen supplement you will see they suggest taking 6 tablets a day. Both the Centrum Wellness Packs For Women 30+ and Centrum Wellness Packs For Women 40+ packs contain a collagen tablet...just one tablet.
None of the Centrum Wellness Packs packs contain a probiotic.
None of the packs contain lutein & zeaxanthin, two nutrients often found in vision support formulas.
None of the packs contain elderberry, a powerful antioxidant that may boost your immune system and may shorten the duration of colds*.
Conclusion: These packs do a better job of providing additional key nutrients than a simple multivitamin but the criteria for what makes a key nutrient “important” for one age group but is missing from another is a little baffling.
I would like for consumers to compare any of the Centrum Wellness Vitamin Packs to the Planet 3 Vitamin Packs formulation. Below is a chart of some of the key features of each vitamin pack.
My biased opinion is that the Planet 3 Vitamin Pack formulation provides a wider spectrum of key nutrients. However, the Centrum Wellness Packs seem to be lower priced and cheaper than the premium supplements found in Planet 3 Vitamin Packs ($29.99) formulation.
If low cost is the most important factor, perhaps the Centrum Wellness Packs are a better choice. However, if you're looking for an overall broader range of nutrients and a more customized formulation aimed at both women and men, the Planet 3 Vitamin Packs in my opinion is a better choice.
